Go Texan Day!

Well, if you live in Texas, You know how big the Texas Rodeo can be! Living 30 miles South of Houston, you quickly find out how popular the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is and what fun and excitement it brings to our area. Friday, the girls had their Go Texan Day so they put on the jeans with some boots and tied up their bandannas and off to school they went! We plan on taking the girls to the Rodeo to enjoy the sights, animals, yummy junk food, and of coarse the muttin bustin! (where the kids hang onto a big, fluffy sheep that takes off running and the kid holds on for dear life) We are trying to talk 1 of our 3 girls into doing it. Who knows, some great pics may soon come. Yeehaw Yall! :)

My Life

It seems like these past couple of weeks, I've barely had time to sit down long enough at the computer yet alone type on my blog! My life has been very time limited with keeping a baby 8-5 everyday, mom of 3 girls (which always have something going on between homework, school projects, or pre-k show and tells), being a wife and keeping the home, to being a friend and making time for myself! CRAZY!!! I am ready for Spring Break or at least a small break in our routine! It helps to regain strength and endurance. :)

Speaking of Spring Break, I am saving 2 weeks of my paycheck and we are taking a little road trip to San Antonio and Sea World for a couple of days! I am so looking forward to my first trip to see these amazing creatures at Sea World. The girls are so excited and the official countdown has begun with them. :)

Hmmm...what else is going on in my life? Home Projects! I am going to start painting our master bedroom this weekend. Its that project that has been 2 years in the making! he he :D Seriously, it was one of the first things I needed to do when moving into this home nearly 3 years ago and it now is officially the last thing to do! Isn't that how it always goes!? ;)

Well, stayed tuned as I hope to share more life; my crazy, eventful, joyful, thankful, LIFE!

A Little Tip for Ya......

According to Dr. Oz, here are the top 3 things you can do to prevent anti-aging!
Here ya go!!!

1. Use sunscreen
2. Use lotion on face with Glycerin
3. Sleep on your back (7-8 hrs on your back helps with gravity)

I am happy to report that I use a daily moisturizer with a SPF of 25 (thank you Mary Kay) and I do start off sleeping on my back! So, I guess doing at least 2 of the top 3 anti-aging tips will pay off soon! Ha. Happy Friday friends. :)

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Sweet hubby brought home roses for all his girls! :) He bought a dozen but split them up and had a little message for each of his 3 princess. He told Addie, Avery, and Annalise that they each had 2 roses. The 1st rose represented dad's love for them and the 2nd rose representing God's love. He told them, "girls, you know dad loves you so much, so always remember you are loved by God and He loves you so much more!"
Makes a mommy's heart melt! The girls were beaming and they were so happy to have their own roses to put in their rooms.
I received the additional 6 roses! I loved it! Special moment for us for sure. :)
Hope you all had a very Happy Valentines Day with the ones you love!

Better Late than Never.....

That is my February memory verse. I am trying to take a verse a month and really read it, meditate on it, and tuck it away in my heart and mind. With so many decisions and directions that we fill God is moving us in ministry (church planting???), I am reminded this!
Also, this does seem appropriate since we are in the month of LOVE. :)

"And I pray that you being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ." Eph 3:18

May I understand and truly grasp "how wide and long and high and deep is His love!

A Mom's Heart

I never knew I would have 3 children yet alone, 3 girls! Its been one of the most joyous, hardest, funnest adventure I've been on yet. My 3 girls are hard work as they each have unique qualities, talents, loves, and spirits which is always challenging to meet their individual need. I have loved being a mom to girls and I look forward to our relationships growing and sharing many more adventures together.
Thank you Lord, for my Addie, Avery, and Annalise as they are a treasured blessing straight from your hand!

Here is a quote in my study bible that I read often and wanted to share. It speaks volumes to what a mother feels when having children. I know I do! Enjoy.

"When you decided to become a mother, you gave your heart permission to forever walk around outside your body. " ~Barbara Johnson
