I am a huge animal lover and would rescue any animal that would end up at my door step! Ask my husband, who has graciously let me rescue plenty of cats in our 12 years of marriage. However, dogs have never shown up at my door but I am a big believer in rescuing them from SPCA or Humane Society or local pound!
Here's a movie clip from Hachi, A Dogs Tale. Its based on a true story and its simply beautiful. Love, loyalty, and friendship. I bawled my eyes out like a baby but its an amazing story. Go rent it from Redbox! Its so sweet and if you are animal lover, especially a dog lover, I promise it won't disappoint of true companionship. :) Here's a sneak peek!

Approaching 12!!
Its a hard pill to swallow sometimes to say that I am 34! CRAZY!! Time is so unfairly fast, especially when you are having so much fun. :)
Well, its Spring and May is around the corner which means...WOW....I will have been married 12 years! It has been an incredible journey with Ryan.
Not to long ago, I sat in my room on the floor with a desk drawer wide open that's stuffed with pictures of college days, dating, marriage, pre-kids, first house, trips, babies, 2nd house, a move across Texas, and so many others. I laughed at our styles, our goofy ways, our skinny bodies(pre-babies for me and football days for Ryan)! Memories flooded me and so did emotions. I thank God for a man who fulfills my every dream. A Christ follower, a leader in our home, a provider, a listener, a loving husband, a giving and fun daddy, and a good dancer that makes me think man he's so sexy when he moves! LOL!! So here's a mushy post to the love of my life. Looking forward to celebrating so much more in our life..together.

Secret of the South
OK, 2 people I faithfully follow on blogs have posted a "cookie" that well seems to be the Secret of the South! They even claim it could be the best cookie they have ever had!!!! It looks so good and I'll be giving them a try soon because Ryan about died when he found out it has Brer Rabbit molasses as a favorite ingredient!
So, to my readers who need a new dessert recipe to rav about...here it is. Enjoy! :)
TaMolasses Cookies :D
3/4 cup Butter Flavored Crisco
1 cup packed light Brown Sugar
1/4 cup Brer Rabbit Full Flavor Molasses
1 egg
(blend above ingredients together til creamy)
add…
2 cups White Flour (plus 1 – 2 tblsp depending if the dough is too sticky after final mixture)
2 tsp Baking Soda
1 Tblsp (or more ;) ) Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Cloves
3/4 tsp Ginger
mix well into the creamed mixture. the dough should be very slightly sticky, but not so sticky that if you touch it would stick to your finger. you should be able to roll it in your hands without it sticking to your palms. if its too sticky add that 1 – 2 tblsp extra baking flour and mix again.
roll into balls, roll into sugar, bake in a 375 degree oven for 9-11 minutes.

My "outlet"
OK, so I am not gonna lie and say my life is not a little crazy but the good kind of crazy! You know the life of wife, mom of 3 girls, keeping a baby full time, home maker, cooker, friend, daughter, sister, or even the most important Christ follower!
Life can get a little interesting around here, fun none the less, but I needed another "outlet" instead of exercise. Soooo, I am introducing my new "outlet"....
a Nickolas Sparks Romance book..... O yea, I said it, a little romance love story to whisk me away! :) I love to read well at least when I am not already falling asleep in the bath tub and I usually read anything from leadership to a Francis Chan kinda book.
I needed something different, something to help lure me in and allow me to forget how crazy, fast my life goes! My dear friend allowed me to borrow 3 of her books. I hope she knows that I am keeping all 3 to read and help me jump through the hoops of life and get a little romance fix to root for.
So here's to "The Lucky One" as its my first Nickolas Sparks book to ever read!
What's your outlet? What's your favorite Nickolas Sparks book?

Out of Gratitude
We are called to live a life wisely. A life not enforced by rules and regulations, dos and don'ts, but a life that is worthy. A life that has hope, and a life that is in awe and full of gratitude for what Christ has done on the cross for us! Here are few verses that I love and find wise instruction. I hope you do the same. :)
"Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved and gave himself up for us." ~ Eph. 5:1
"Be careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but wise, making the most of every opportunity" ~Eph. 5:15
"To live a life worthy of the calling you have received." ~ Eph. 4:1
